about

In Summer 2012, beside working on my latest "Now" album, I've also started writing some piano solo pieces, just to keep in mind from where I came from.

I remember I asked to my friends on Facebook which was their image for the word "Melancholy" and I had such a great feedback with sentences, images, thoughts... Immediately after, I sat on my piano and I composed "If melancholy were music", I recorded it and immediately released it on SoundCloud for free. From that month on, I decided to release some piano free song, whenever I had the inspiration to do them. All for free (and they still are for free!).

The result was that after one year (more or less), those songs have been played more than 250,000 times and have been downloaded 5,000 times.

I then decided to give them a sense by releasing the entire collection in this album plus a previously unreleased track ("Wind song").

The title of the album wants to be my highest tribute to the instrument I love the most, my beloved grand piano.

Also, differently from the previous release, I wanted to add a precious and very limited white vinyl edition to add even more warmth to piano sound.

Enjoy and share!
